It is perhaps one of the most anticipated movies in history. It grossed over a billion dollars in just a matter of days.

Marvel’s Endgame might be the most successful cinema production of all time.

The anticipation and success of the film does not rest solely on the fact that it is another Avengers movie. The success doesn’t solely rest on the fact that Avengers movies are well scripted and produced… or that the characters are colorful, comical and powerful. I think the success is largely—obviously—upon where this particular movie lands in the Avengers story.

It’s the conclusion. The climax. It is the answer to Infinity War’s cliffhanger. It’s the ultimate moment for the entire Avengers’ storyline.

Or is it?

What if I told you Marvel plans to build off of Endgame? What if I told you that they are planning to make ANOTHER 22 movies? That the story actually continues? With new characters emerging… and new adventures ahead?

We should have the same anticipation for this moment of the Bible… the epic story of God’s redemption of man. While it appears that this is the climax, IT WILL NOT BE THE END! Everything pivots on this moment in Scripture. Christ will be arrested. Tried. Tortured and crucified. But it is not the end. The story will continue! New characters emerging—new works are coming—in God’s redemptive plan!
