We have a great variety of questions before us tonight about denomination, spiritual discipline, socialization and ministry function. The questions we will explore include the following:
1. Is therHowe a denomination that is believed to be the only correct one or the most correct? If not, how “correct” or trustworthy are other denomination churches in handling the Gospel and faith of others?
2. Why do Catholics have to confess their sins to a priest but we can directly confess them to God? Why do Catholics have a Pope? Why do they also pray to saints and not directly to God?
3. How do we minister to people who don’t come a lot?
4. I really want to be involved more with youth and church, but I am very insecure/shy and feel overwhelmed. How do I get past that?
5. Why does clique-making go unchecked?
6. If some people have caused disruptions in the church more than enough times, why aren’t they gone yet? Aren’t we supposed to dismiss them?
7. How come we focus on high school so much when we have a college campus right down the road?
8. How do you show someone love/forgiveness, who has hurt you and caused you so much pain?
9. How can I engage people with alternative lifestyles in a loving way without looking like I approve of things they do or believe?
10. How do you know when you make the right decision to do things?
11. How do you know when God is speaking to you as far as an action to take? How can you differ between something that YOU have your heart on and want to do vs. something that God calls us to do?
12. How can we avoid distractions in our lives?
13. The importance of/how to use a spiritual journal.
