SENIOR EXIT: ROAD TRIP
Statistics state that if a student doesn’t attend a church within the first few weeks of landing on a new college campus, they are likely not to go at all. Our own GBYouth graduates report that trying to find a new church home at a new school can be overwhelming. SENIOR EXIT: ROAD TRIP is a fun way to help students “practice” visiting and evaluating new church environments before they head off to college.
Graduates will travel with a (real-life, church-attending) college student to an unfamiliar church in a local community. They will attend both small and large group services and take careful notes of their experiences. Afterward, the students will discuss their experience and thoughts over lunch. SENIOR EXIT helps ease anxiety and encourages students to begin thinking pro-actively about their post-graduate spiritual lives.
